We are experts...

when it comes to telling engaging visual stories for the biotech and life science industries. We can use vibrant animations to present a detailed explanation of medical procedures – how a new heart valve can be planted in the body, how a cancer vaccine can be created by adding glycans to a tumour cell – or visualise intricate research processes and procedures – how cell polarity works, how the complex biological structures of certain drugs can be dissected. The possibilities are endless.

A new way of seeing

As we ventured into the world of science animation, biotech and life science soon became one of the core areas of our work. And no wonder: through animation, we can visualise the world of cells, enzymes and proteins in spectacular new ways. Additionally, combining animation with film enables us to get the best of both worlds – letting the two collide and fuse into flowing visuals. Our animation and camera departments are completely in tune, working together to achieve consistency in terms of colour and lighting – resulting in a coherent overall look.

Translating Science

With over 10 years of experience in medical animation, we are specialised in translating intricate concepts into mesmerising, eye-catching and colourful animations. One aspect is key to our process: collaboration. It is the foundation of all our work. We value scientific correctness very highly – and by working together closely with first-rate scientists, we make sure to get the right message across. For every animation, film or website we have made, it was the team involved that allowed it to become a unique product.

Mechanism of Action

Mechanism of Action animations – or MoA animations – are all about explaining the intricate and complex processes behind the workings of a drug. They can translate a complicated chain of events into a story that's easy to grasp, with observable causes and effects. Relying on all the elements that make animations engaging – visuals, colours, movement, sound design, music – an MoA animation can make a strong impact on any viewer: from an expert to a member of the general public.

Restricted locations and laboratories

We specialise in filming at restricted locations: hospitals, operating theatres, clean rooms and biosafety labs. We know how to deal with health-and-safety guidelines, privacy and security issues, and restrictions around intellectual property and sensitive information. As for the life science industry, we have become experts when it comes to filming in laboratories. Through meticulous lighting, thought-out camera movements and precise direction, we can get the best out of these cramped locations.
