Profiling miRNA

TATAA Biocenter is a leading provider in genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, microbiome and single cell analysis. One of their solutions within the field of transcriptomics is a newly invented method for the profiling of miRNA: Two-Tailed RT-qPCR. This approach makes it possible to amplify much shorter targets with greater specificity. In order to communicate this revolutionary technology to potential clients, we produced a 3D animation.

Ingenious solution

Micro RNAs are small non-coding molecules that are important for the regulation of gene expression. Because these molecules are so small, it is difficult to decipher their profile using standard technologies. That's where TATAA steps in, with their unique solution for miRNA profiling: Two-Tailed RT-qPCR.

Experimenting with styles

Since we chose to keep the visuals simple and clean, the creative process revolved around the style and colours of the animated elements. We actually designed multiple different styles, each with its own colour palette (based on TATAA's brand colours) and textures. The final choice was then left to the client.

Mysterious atmosphere

By using vibrant and saturated colours, we made sure the visuals really pop from the dark background. In combination with the music and sound design, we established a mysterious atmosphere while also maintaining an air of positivity.
